BECOME A PTA MEMBER!!!
Are you a PTA Member? No.....Join Today.
The Linda Vista Elementary School PTA membership is $10.00 per person. Click the "JOIN NOW" button and submit your membership payment online. You will receive a receipt via email. *Your PTA membership and donations are tax deductible (Tax ID #33-0282771).
COMMITMENT: Being a PTA member does not mean you have to hold a position or attend meetings... you are not obligated to do anything beyond paying dues supporting our efforts. Ideally, every parent/guardian who has a student at Linda Vista should be a member. However, we would love to invite you to come to monthly meetings and participate in PTA sponsored events. Don’t hold back on joining because you are worried it will take too much time or effort....it won't, we promise.
OPPORTUNITIES: There are a number of ways to get involved. There are many PTA Board positions that require less than 5 hours per month of work. In addition to board positions, there are many activities throughout the year allowing you to choose what you can do to support the school to fit your schedule.
MEMBERSHIP FEE: Your membership fee of $10.00 per person goes to the district and state PTA to keep our school’s PTA active, as well as the Linda Vista Elementary PTA to support the programs during each school year. Your membership fee can be included as a part of our annual fundraising efforts. For more information on this, please visit our fundraising page.
MEETINGS: PTA meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of September, November, February, April and June. Executive Board Meetings are held on the 1st Tuesday each month during the school year. We try to keep all meetings to an hour while we run through upcoming events, determine how funds should be spent, discuss various school issues from teacher wish lists to ideas for new programs, and discuss advocacy and legislative topics impacting your child’s education. Occasionally we have special guests like our teachers and local organizations. Our Principal attends as well giving you first hand access to have an impact on your child's education!
COMMUNICATION: We communicate with all the parents in a variety of ways. One of the best ways to stay up to date with PTA activities is to sign up for the PTA's GroupMe account. This group messaging is used for all notifications. Also, to make sure you are kept up to date, keep your membership active since this is how the email distribution list is created. You’ll also receive flyers that come home in your kids backpacks. Finally, all information is easily accessible by visiting our own web site at www.LindaVistaElementaryPTA.com.
